Rainbow Club

United Way of Greater Stark County's Rainbow Club is comprised of hundreds of individuals and families that have chosen to make a meaningful difference in the community. Rainbow Club was started more than 25 years ago by local businessman and philanthropist Paul Bishop.

By giving at the level of $1,200 or more, this group of people has allowed United Way to provide needed funding to valuable programs throughout greater Stark County.

Rainbow Club members are invited to participate in social and networking events throughout the year and are included in the Leadership Donor book which is distributed throughout the community in June. Members are also invited to join Women's Leadership Council or Young Leaders Society events and workshops held throughout the year.

Rainbow Club members are recognized at several different levels:

  • Ruby donors make up one of the most influential groups of contributors to the United Way, donating $5,000 to $9,999 annually.
  • Emerald donors to the United Way are comprised of members who annually contribute $2,000 to $4,999 annually.
  • Diamond level members of the Rainbow Club include donors who give $1,200 to $1,999 to the United Way each year.
  • Pearl donors are the latest addition to the Rainbow Club, comprised of teams who donate $1,200 or more to United Way. Teams are comprised of no more than 30 people and are limited to a distinct, identifiable department or shift within a corporation and must be identified up front to the workplace campaign coordinator. Pledge cards should be bundled by the team leader and submitted together with no single donation greater than $300.
