Please RSVP for the 2008 Annual United Way Campaign Kick-Off by Tuesday, Sept. 2 to Gilda Stevens at 330-491-9959 or campaignrsvp@uwgsc.org.
Day of Caring is a community-wide day of hands-on volunteering that connects volunteers with non-profit organizations to work on various projects that would otherwise not be completed.
It's a day that demonstrates that volunteerism is vital to the well-being of our community. It spotlights United Way's role in bringing volunteers together, empowering them to work together to address some of the urgent needs facing our community.
In 2007, more than 850 volunteers from area businesses volunteered their time from landscaping to delivering meals and more for United Way service providers and human care service agencies in Stark County.
