Every dollar that is donated to the United Way of Greater Stark County make a difference in the lives of thousands of people in our area. United Way helps fund programs that serve all ages and from all walks of life.

For a donation of… 

$120 a year OR $2.31 a week OR 33¢ a day you could provide…

  • Thirty-six days of milk and juice for children residing at a domestic violence shelter.
  • 806 diapers for babies born to mothers in addiction recovery programs.
  • Six days of groceries for a family of four that has been affected by a disaster.
  • Eight days worth of baby wipes for 50 infants and toddlers at a child care center.
  • Nutritious snacks for 300 children.
  • Six nights in a homeless shelter.

$250 a year OR $20.83 a month OR 68¢ a day you could provide…

  • Three counseling sessions with a licensed professional for victims of abuse.
  • 11 nights in a domestic violence shelter for one victim of abuse
  • Counseling sessions for six survivors of rape.
  • 14 hours of homemaker service for a senior in need.
  • Six days of adult day services for a senior.

$500 a year OR $9.62 a week OR $1.36 a day you could provide…

  • Dating Violence Prevention education classes to three high school health classes (90 students).
  • 20 birthday or holiday celebrations for children residing in a domestic violence shelter.
  • 95 workbooks for elementary students in school-based alcohol and drug prevention programs.
  • Seven days of safe housing for a family of four affected by disaster.
  • Clothing for a family of four hit by a sudden disaster.
  • Seven days of lunches for 40 children.
  • One bag of groceries for 12 homeless individuals.

$1200 a year OR $100 a month OR $3.29 a day you could provide…

  • Art therapy supplies for a year for children’s therapy at a shelter.
  • Three months of food for a domestic violence shelter.
  • Two months of outpatient services for five individuals recovering from substance abuse.
  • 210 hours of summer camp for children with mental retardation or other developmental disabilities.
  • 13 hours of family counseling sessions.
  • Seven weeks of quality child care for an infant from a family in need 
  • Six months of nursing services to 12 adults attending adult day services.
