20/20 Campaigns

20/20 is an exciting growth strategy that the United Way of Greater Stark County introduced in 2006. United Way is seeking a minimum of 20 companies to participate in this growth strategy.  To participate in 20/20, companies are asked to commit to a goal of increasing employee participation and/or employee dollars raised by 20%.

This is a challenging goal. Although the desire is for everyone who participates to reach their goal in 2006, what is really most important is putting in place the process that, over time, will help a company achieve and ultimately exceed this goal.

Each participant is asked to put in place a year round communication, education and solicitation plan.  This would start by surveying employees to gage their knowledge/perception of UW as well as their areas of interest.  Then utilizing the feedback from the survey, a communications and education plan would be developed for the employees.  In addition, companies would be asked to support their employee’s participation in the Day of Caring and the Corporate Volunteer Council.  All of these activities will serve to make the employees better informed in advance of the annual campaign.

20/20 campaigns would still run during the fall.  However, as this year round process takes hold in your organization the campaign could be run at another time during the year if it is determined that there is time that would work better and fit with your business cycle.

To learn more about 20/20 or to become one of our select companies to take on this challenge, please contact the United Way campaign department at 330-491-9974.
